New Delhi: Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson, the world’s most-subscribed YouTuber, asked today if he could be CEO of Twitter. The YouTuber’s statement comes days after he conducted a poll asking users whether Twitter CEO Elon Musk should take the helm of his microblogging platform.
In a poll posted Monday, 57% of voters, or 10 million votes, supported Mr. Musk stepping down just eight weeks after taking ownership of the company for $44 billion.
Musk, who shared the results of the poll, said he would step down as Twitter’s chief executive if a suitable replacement was found. The second richest person in the world wrote on Twitter:
In a tweet today, Donaldson asked if he could run a social media company. “Could you be the new CEO of Twitter?” he tweeted.
“It’s not out of the question,” Musk said in response to the 24-year-old YouTuber’s tweet.
Since taking over Twitter in October, Musk has turned to polls and crafted an entirely new social media policy on the fly.
He has also picked fights with the media and leaked personal messages and emails of his own employees. reinstated the president’s account and recently started talking about his own possible assassination.
