3 killed in 46 car pile in Ohio

On Friday afternoon, the Ohio Highway Patrol (OSHP) confirmed that at least 46 vehicles were involved in the massive pileup. A police officer at the scene said he had three fatalities and multiple injuries in the Sandusky County crash.
A weather-related accident in Ohio involved nearly 50 vehicles. Three deaths have been confirmed.

Multiple agencies across multiple counties are conducting rescue operations. Those involved in the crash are traveling by bus to a local facility to stay warm.
OSHP confirmed that weather was a factor in the crash. Authorities recommend avoiding travel. A blizzard significantly reduces visibility.

Sergeant OSHP’s Ryan Purpura advised drivers who have to make the trip, “Some precautions should be taken: go slow, be patient, keep your following, and always fasten your seatbelt.”
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said in a statement his condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones in the weather.
