Two people were ejected when two airboats collided Sunday afternoon near mile marker 35 on Interstate 75, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue said.
A family of three visiting from Texas was on one boat with a tour guide. The husband and wife went into the water. Her leg was injured, said spokesman Mike Jachles.
Her husband and teenage son were not injured; neither was the male boat pilot. The woman was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
The only person on the second boat, a man, was not injured, Jachles said.
The two 15-foot airboats collided about 1:30 p.m. on the south side of the interstate, Jachles said.
The identities of those on the boats were not released Sunday afternoon.
