Driver flees traffic stop and crashes into another car, police say

A woman was arrested after fleeing during a traffic stop and crashing into another car, police said Tuesday.

The crash happened late Monday night along Hypoluxo Road near Interstate 95, according to police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater.

Earlier, officers saw a red Pontiac Bonneville “traveling westbound on Boynton Beach Boulevard at a high rate of speed,” she said.

The car got onto northbound I-95 and refused to pull over for a traffic stop.

Police followed the car to the off-ramp and Hypoluxo Road where the pursuit stopped, Slater said.

Subsequently, the Bonneville crashed with a Toyota and the driver’s of both cars were taken to Delray Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The Bonneville driver, La’Kishia Shante Frazier, 28, of Boynton Beach was arrested and charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding and driving with a suspended license.

The crash is being investigated by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
