What to expect on the roads next week

South Florida drivers will encounter a few more twists and turns on the roadways in the week ahead.

Interstate 75: The exits at Griffin Road and the Bass Creek Bridge will be closed for re-construction, overnights through Friday morning (Aug.18).

On I-95: In Boca Raton, Yamato Road is being widened and the El Rio Trail will have multiple detours around the clock beginning Monday to Sept. 14.

On I-95: In Miami-Dade, all north and southbound Express Lanes between State Road 112 and the Golden Glades Interchange will be closed nightly intermittently through Thursday, and between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. Fridays & Saturdays.

Two to three northbound general purpose lanes between SR 112 to NW 64 Street, and between NW 52 Street to NW 67 Street, and the NW 62 Street ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed overnights Monday through Thursday.

On Florida’s Turnpike: In Miami-Dade, all southbound lanes at the Bird Road interchange, and the Bird Road entrance ramp to the Turnpike will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday night, and possibly through Thursday.

In Oakland Park: The railroad crossing on Commercial Boulevard, just east of N. Dixie Highway, will be closed beginning 7 a.m. Saturday, through 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Schedules may be affected by poor weather or other obstacles, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
